Product Picking (Pick)

MyCloud uses a barcode system for precise and quick product verification. Each item has a barcode, allowing staff to verify that the right product is picked before it moves to the packing stage. We have developed strategic picking methods tailored to e-commerce businesses that sell across multiple channels, supporting all types of operations to make picking and verifying items efficient.

Single Picking

Picking one product per order, ideal for small orders or those containing a single item, speeds up the process and reduces order management errors.

Batch Picking

Picking multiple items across multiple orders at once, using either:

  • A 16-slot cart for larger items, which provides greater maneuverability but less overall volume per pick.
  • A 50-slot cart for smaller items, allowing for a higher volume of order fulfillment but with reduced agility.

Cluster Pick

Picking involves closing out all orders within a timeframe and picking all at once, e.g., closing 30 orders and picking them all simultaneously. This method is best for items with high turnover rates that require bulk handling.

Standard Pack

Pick up a box from the conveyor belt.
Scan the MC Label to start the process.
Attach the MC Label to the package (box).
Check order details in the system.
Scan the package (box) used for packing.
Verify product details and quantities for the order.
Scan each item in the order.
Wrap items in bubble wrap.
Place wrapped items in the box.
Close the box and save the order in the system.

Each step of the packing process is recorded on CCTV, and clients can request this footage to verify accuracy in packing or as evidence for discussions with logistics partners.

MyCloud offers three packing methods:

  • Standard Pack
    • Orders are sized to determine the most suitable box, optimizing costs and reducing damage risks. Items are additionally wrapped in bubble wrap or air cushions for further protection, and all items are QC checked before packing.
  • Special Pack
    • Customized packing according to client needs, including changing packaging, tying ribbons, adding greeting cards, spraying perfume, or adding freebies.
  • Value added products
    • Adding value with gift baskets, decorative bows, and other touches to make the product more special, leading to increased satisfaction and positive reviews.
